3. 3. Congestion measures business outline

On Kan-Etsu Expressway, congestion occurs during peak traffic periods such as the summer rush hour, consecutive holidays, and the tourist and ski season. The main cause of congestion is the slowdown in vehicle speeds at the points where the main road changes from a Out-bound slope to an In-bound slope (sag sections).
By constructing an additional lane near Takasaki SA, it is expected that congestion will be alleviated.
