Outline of road closure work
Joshin-Etsu Expressway Shinanomachi IC-Nakago IC was opened in October 1997, and the Nakago IC-Joetsu JCT was opened in October 1999 with provisional 2-lane operation. After that, in response to the business license change in April 2012, construction of 4 lanes has started, but with this suspension of traffic, the temporary 2 lanes currently used as up and down lanes (hereinafter “opened lanes”) Work will be done to switch to the In-bound lane.
Specifically, we will carry out pavement work for already opened lanes, relocation and renewal of equipment, and work to switch some of the lanes that our customers pass from already opened lanes to newly constructed lanes.
Lane switching
From Wednesday, August 29, some lanes will change between the Joetsu-Joshin-Etsu Expressway Joetsutakada IC → Joetsu JCT (Out-bound line). We apologize for any inconvenience caused to passengers traveling on the section, but we ask for your continued efforts to drive safely.
