NEXCO EAST Kazo Management Office (Kazo City, Saitama Prefecture) will be closing the Hasuda Smart Interchange (hereinafter referred to as the "IC") on Out-bound lane of the E4 Tohoku Expressway (hereinafter referred to as the "Tohoku Expressway") at night to carry out ETC equipment renewal work.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and we ask for your understanding and cooperation in allowing yourself plenty of time when heading out.

• The Hasuda Smart IC on Tohoku Expressway In-bound remain open as usual.

2. Detour

Please refer to the diagram below for detours.
　As indicated by the blue arrow, after exiting at Iwatsuki IC, proceed onto National Route 122.
If you take a detour via Iwatsuki IC, the journey is expected to take approximately 20 minutes (usually approximately 8 minutes).
The detour will increase travel time, so please allow yourself plenty of time when traveling.

3. Construction overview

Tohoku Expressway　Out-bound The replacement of aging ETC equipment will be carried out at the Hasuda Smart IC on the Route 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10 lines.
The work will require the closure of the Smart IC. Therefore, in order to minimize inconvenience to our customers, we will close the smart IC during the nighttime on weekdays when traffic volume is low, so that the work can be carried out in a concentrated and efficient manner. We ask for your understanding and cooperation as this work is necessary for the safe and comfortable use of Expressway.

Four. How to obtain traffic information

(1) Guidance by distribution / posting

• Notice signs, posters and leaflets will be posted at toll booths and rest facilities nearby.
• A banner will be posted on the overpass on the Expressway.
