The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Expressway companies have been conducting social experiments since 2017 to allow drivers to temporarily exit Expressway to roadside stations in order to resolve the gap of more than 25 km in rest areas on Expressway across the country and create a better driving environment.
We will now be starting a social experiment at the new roadside station "Benibana no Sato Okegawa."
1. Start date and time
From 11:00 on Thursday, March 27, 2025
- 道の駅「べに花ばなの郷さとおけがわ」の開業に合わせて開始します。
2. Implementation location
C4 Ken-o Expressway Okegawa Kitamoto Interchange (IC)
⇔ Roadside station "Sato Okegawa, Benihanabana no Sato" (Okegawa City, Saitama Prefecture)
3. Content
This is limited to vehicles equipped with ETC 2.0, and if you stop at the roadside station "Benibana no Sato Okegawa" from the Okegawa Kitamoto IC and then re-enter the same IC within two hours and travel in the forward direction, the toll will be adjusted to the same as if you had continued on Expressway to your destination without exiting the expressway.
