NEXCO EAST Kanto Regional Head Office (Saitama City, Saitama Prefecture) will hold the second "Let's enjoy Expressway by taking advantage of the expressway!" event on Saturday, December 21 2024, at the Kamisato Service Area (hereinafter referred to as "SA") (Out-bound) on Kan-Etsu Expressway.
This event will promote the use of the "Winter Pass 2025" Expressway discount plan, which allows people to enjoy winter tourism at a bargain price. As part of the "Wait for the Slopes, Win a Lift Ticket Campaign" being held in collaboration with SURF&SNOW (one of Japan's largest ski resort and snow information websites), a luxurious raffle will be held where you can win lift tickets to each ski resort.
Furthermore, Gunma, Nagano, Niigata and Tochigi prefectures will be promoting their respective ski resorts and winter tourist spots, and at our booth there will be a "reflex game" in which participants can participate by answering a simple questionnaire. Depending on the results of the test, participants will be given prizes such as merchandise featuring our good manners character, "Manarty".
In addition, the special stage at the venue will feature a live radio broadcast by professional snowboarder Tanaka Sachi and the 7th Snow Queen of Gunma Imai Kumi, who will be promoting Gunma prefecture's ski resorts, as well as greetings from mascots from each prefecture and a luxurious raffle where you can win local goods. There will also be a variety of other events, so be sure to come along to Kamisato SA (Out-bound).

   Professional snowboarder Yuki Tanaka

   Born in 1981. Originally from Shiga Prefecture, currently living in Nagano Prefecture. Has been a rowing athlete since high school. Won the National Athletic Meet as a member of the corporate team. After switching to professional snowboarding in slopestyle competitions, he has now moved to backcountry skiing. He has filmed both domestically and abroad, and has hosted camps for Japanese people in Canada and New Zealand. He also uses his own experience to plan and produce camps and events in Japan. He has commented on snowboarding events at the Sochi Olympics, Pyeongchang, and Beijing, and works as a mountain guide and nature guide, mainly in the Yatsugatake Mountains, when there is no snow.
   He is also expanding the scope of his activities through media, including serving as the main personality on "Happy Radio" (FM Karuizawa).

   Founded in the 2008 season.
   Three members of the 8th generation started working this season, and together with the two members of the 7th generation, there are currently five members working.
   In order to improve the image of Gunma Prefecture's ski resorts, we promote the Gunma Snow Area by appearing at various events and campaigns, as well as on television and radio.

3. [Dorawari] About Winter Pass 2025

This is a special discount product that allows you to enjoy skiing, snowboarding, playing in the snow, etc., using expressways at a discount. There are plans that allow you to use Expressway at a discount for one round trip from ICs in the departure and arrival areas of the Tokyo metropolitan area, Sendai, and Niigata to each destination area for a fixed price, and plans that allow you to get on and off Expressway Expressway much as you like within the get-on and get-off areas for a fixed price, as well as plans that include accommodation and ski resort lift tickets. Applications can be made for and used for a maximum of two or three consecutive days, excluding the New Year holidays.

4. About the "Win a Ski Slope, Win a Lift Ticket Campaign"

NEXCO EAST is holding the "Wait for the Ski Slopes, Win a Lift Ticket Campaign" in collaboration with SURF&SNOW from 2024.
In this campaign, we will be giving away lift tickets and other great prizes through a lottery that includes this event, a smartphone stamp rally, an Instagram photo contest, and a message project to recommended spots.
