Sano City, Tochigi Prefecture, NEXCO EAST Kanto Regional Head Office (Saitama City, Saitama Prefecture), and Nex-area Company Limited Kanto West Branch (Saitama City, Saitama Prefecture), as part of regional collaboration, E4 Tohoku Expressway (hereinafter "Tohoku Expressway") A statue of the Sano brand character Sanomaru © Sano City will be installed in the Sano Service Area (hereinafter referred to as “SA”) (Out-bound line).
Along with this, an unveiling ceremony and event for the statue of Sanomaru will be held at Sano Service Area (Out-bound line) from 10:00 on Saturday, April 22, 2023.

- Sano brand character "Sanomaru" and NEXCO EAST etiquette improvement campaign
The character "Manati" of "HEARTFUL HIGHWAY" will participate in the unveiling ceremony of the statue of Sanomaru. - The mayor of Sano, the chairman of the Sano Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the creators of the Sanomaru statue will unveil the statue.
3. About the statue of Sanomaru
“Sanomaru” is a Sano brand character that communicates the charm of Sano City on a daily basis. In addition, it won the Grand Prix at the Yuru-chara® Grand Prix 2013, and is a local character of Sano City that is still popular today. On July 13th last year, the Sano Service Area (Out-bound line) reopened its commercial facilities and toilets after renovations. (*1) to install the Sanomaru statue.

"Abuzuka no Miyahiko Kagura", which has been handed down in Abuzuka-cho, Sano City, is characterized by performing a farce kyogen that invites laughter from the audience with light musical accompaniment and witty gestures. It is an intangible folk cultural asset designated by Tochigi Prefecture.

"Sato no Kai" is said to have 2 million people nationwide, and the surname "Sato" is said to originate from Mr. Fujiwara in Sano. was launched on March 10, 2020 to make it a sacred place with Mr. Sato nationwide.
