As a traffic safety measure to combat the increase in winter accidents, NEXCO EAST Hokkaido Regional Head Office (Atsubetsu-ku, Sapporo) and Shin-Sapporo Driving School (Nishinosato, Kitahiroshima) will be holding the "Winter Road Safety Driving Seminar by Shin-Sapporo Driving School & NEXCO EAST "at Shin-Sapporo Driving School on Sunday, January 21 2024, with the aim of improving driving skills on winter roads.
Experienced instructors from Shin-Sapporo Driving School, as well as a professional driver who will accompany the guest, will provide a gentle and thorough lecture on steering and braking techniques on winter roads.
　We welcome participation from those who are not familiar with driving on winter roads and beginners!

Four. content

• In addition to instructors from Shin-Sapporo Driving Academy, guest professional drivers Katsumi Muraoka and Masato Sekine will ride in the training vehicle driven by the participants and give lectures on steering and braking tips on winter roads.
• Lectures such as a flame canister ignition experience, tips for getting stuck, and other special projects are also planned.

   • In the practical training, we will use a training car from Shin-Sapporo Driving Academy. Please note that you cannot participate in your own private car.
   • Please be sure to bring your driver's license because it is a condition that you have a normal driver's license or higher.
   • Practical training sessions with an instructor or guest professional driver will last approximately 10 minutes per person.
   • Depending on the weather and course conditions, the event may be canceled. Please note.

6. Interview information

There will be time for media interviews between 9:00 and 10:00 on the day of the seminar. You can take a test drive in a training vehicle with an instructor or guest professional driver on board. This is a valuable opportunity to learn about safe driving on winter roads from a professional's perspective, so if you would like to participate, please fill out the attached application form [PDF: 131KB] and apply.
