NEXCO EAST (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo), NEXCO East Japan Area Tract Co., Ltd. (Minato-ku, Tokyo, hereafter referred to as Area Tract), TOUCH TO GO Co., Ltd. (Minato-ku, Tokyo, hereafter referred to as TTG), and FamilyMart Co., Ltd. (Minato-ku, Tokyo, hereafter referred to as FamilyMart) will reopen the FamilyMart at Hitachi Chuo Parking Area (In-bound) on the E6 Joban Expressway at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 11, 2025, as a hybrid store with an unmanned payment area. This is the first initiative for a Expressway convenience store. By combining manned and unmanned payment areas, the store aims to achieve both greater convenience and labor savings.

Overview of Hybrid FamilyMart at Hitachi Chuo PA (In-bound lanes)

In the staffed area, staff will sell hot snacks, tobacco, souvenirs, and other products that cannot be sold unmanned, while in the unmanned payment area, customers can enjoy smooth shopping using the unmanned payment system for rice balls, drinks, sweets, and other items.

Area Tract and TTG have formed a business alliance with the aim of reducing the number of staff required at service areas (SA) and parking areas (PA) through innovation, while FamilyMart and TTG have formed a capital and business alliance with the aim of reducing the number of staff required at existing stores and Large their business area into micro markets, thereby increasing each other's corporate value.

Hitachi Chuo PA (In-bound) has a customer entrance/exit "walk-in gate" from the public road so that people from the surrounding area can easily stop by and use the facility.
