We would like to inform you that the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism has announced that the period for free Expressway travel for people evacuated from restricted areas due to the nuclear accident will be extended until March 31, 2026, and that from around the summer of 2025, truck-type medium-sized vehicles will be excluded from the free travel allowance.

- The free Expressway travel allowance for evacuees from restricted areas due to the nuclear accident will be extended until Tuesday, March 31, 2026.
- 制度本来の趣旨・目的に沿わない利用が確認されていることなどから、制度趣旨に合った適切な利用となるよう、令和7年夏頃から、中型車のうちトラックタイプの車両を無料措置対象から除外します。

Former) Until midnight on Monday, March 31, 2025
New) Until 24:00 on Tuesday, March 31, 2026
2. Regarding use after April 1, 2025
The currently used "Hometown Return Pass Card (green) (including the certificate for those who have a certificate related to the travel route)" can continue to be used after April 1, 2025, but from around the summer of 2025, truck-type vehicles among medium-sized vehicles will be excluded from the free treatment. We will notify you again of the start date of the exclusion.
