A windsock is a low-tech, but very effective safety facility that intuitively informs customers of the danger of crosswinds on Expressway. However, since it is exposed to wind and rain and ice and snow 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, the damage is significant, and the average number of replacements is 2 to 3 (in the Hokkaido Regional Head Office) per year. The main damage was the frayed ring-shaped seams.

1. By eliminating the ring-shaped sewn parts, we were able to improve durability.
2. By changing the fiber direction of the polyester mesh, we were able to improve tensile strength and durability.
3. Low cost has been achieved due to the reduced number of sewing points.
