NEXCO EAST　Morioka Management Office (Morioka City, Iwate Prefecture) will close the E4 Tohoku Expressway (hereinafter referred to as "Tohoku Expressway") up and down line Maemoriyama Parking Area (hereinafter referred to as "PA") all day due to the construction of barrier-free access at the ramp.

2. Rest facilities available during closure

For information on available rest facilities during closure, please refer to the attached document [PDF: 240KB].
Due to the closures, travel times between rest facilities will be longer, so please allow plenty of time when traveling.

3. Construction overview

Maemoriyama PA on both northbound and southbound lanes of Tohoku Expressway will be raising the pavement as part of barrier-free construction work. This work cannot be carried out due to parking restrictions, so the PA must be closed to carry out the work. Therefore, in order to minimize inconvenience to customers, the work will be carried out in a concentrated and efficient manner.
This construction is necessary to ensure safe and comfortable use of Expressway, so we ask for your understanding and cooperation.
