NEXCO EAST At the Tsuruoka Management Office (Tsuruoka City, Yamagata Prefecture), E48 Yamagata Expressway(hereinafter referred to as "Yamagata Road") Upper and Lower Line Yudoyama Interchange (hereinafter referred to as "IC") will be closed at night in order to carry out tunnel lighting equipment renewal work at Tsuruoka IC and safety measures in response to the head-on collision accident at the Tamugimata Tunnel that occurred between Yudonosan IC ~ Shonai Asahi IC on May 2 Reiwa, 5.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and ask for your understanding and cooperation so that you can have plenty of time when you go out.

3. Construction overview

Yamagata Road, Upper and Lower Line, Yudonosan IC ⇔ Shonai Asahi IC, will carry out renewal work due to aging tunnel lighting equipment, and safety measures will be carried out in response to a head-on collision accident in the Tamugimata Tunnel that occurred at Yudonosan IC ~ Shonai Asahi IC on May 2, 5 Reiwa.
In addition, pavement repair work will be carried out between the Shonai Asahi IC ⇔ Tsuruoka IC on the Yamagata Expressway Upper and Lower Lines, as damage to the road surface has occurred. In order to minimize inconvenience to customers, the road will be closed on weekday nights when there is little traffic, and construction will be carried out intensively and efficiently. This construction is necessary for safe and comfortable use of the Expressway, so we ask for your understanding and cooperation.
