NEXCO EAST Tohoku Regional Head Office (Aoba Ward, Sendai City) will use winter tires on Expressway in order to promote early snow tire replacement and enlighten safe driving on snowy roads during the coming snowfall season. A tire installation status survey is conducted and the results are announced.
Since the winter tire installation rate has reached a little over 80% in the Tohoku region (same level as last year), this survey is the final one. It is expected that snow will begin to fall in the entire Tohoku region in the coming winter, so please drive safely when using the Expressway.
NEXCO EAST Tohoku Regional Head Office will continue to carry out a wide range of educational activities through traffic safety campaigns and HP “DraPla”. (Thank you for your cooperation.)
