NEXCO EAST Takasaki Management Office (Kan-Etsu Expressway City, Gunma Prefecture) will be implementing night-time closures at the entrance ramp to Akagi Kan-Etsu Expressway (hereinafter referred to as "IC") and Akagi Parking Area (hereinafter referred to as "PA") on In-bound Kan'etsu Expressway (hereinafter referred to as "Kan'etsu Expressway") in order to carry out pavement repair work.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and ask for your understanding and cooperation in allowing yourself plenty of time when heading out. In addition, while the PA is closed, the rest facilities will not be available, so we ask that you use other rest facilities.

1. Closed location and date and time

• Attached to each line E17 The indications such as indicate the route number (numbering) of Expressway.
• Passengers using Akagi PA In-bound lanes are asked to leave by 8 p.m.
• When Akagi PA on In-bound line is closed, please use the rest facilities listed below.

   October 21st (Monday) to October 23rd (Wednesday) 2024

   Every day from 20:00 to 6:00 the next morning

   Preparation day:

   October 24th (Thursday) - October 29th (Tuesday) 2024

2. Detour

Please refer to the diagram below for detours.
If you take a detour between Kan-Etsu Expressway IC and Shibukawa Ikaho IC on the Kan'etsu Expressway via Prefectural Route 70 and National Route 17, the travel time is expected to be approximately 16 minutes (usually approximately 6 minutes).
The detour will increase travel time, so please allow yourself plenty of time when traveling.

3. Construction overview

Kan-Etsu Expressway　In-bound Pavement repair work will be performed on the entrance ramp at the Akagi IC and the main line connecting ramp at the Akagi PA due to damage to the road surface. Since the section to be repaired is a single lane, it is necessary to close the ramp and the PA to carry out the work since it is not possible to carry out the work with normal lane restrictions.
Therefore, in order to minimize inconvenience to our customers, we will close the ramps and PAs during the nighttime on weekdays when traffic volume is low in order to implement the work in an intensive and efficient manner. We ask for your understanding and cooperation as this work is necessary for the safe and comfortable use of Expressway.

(1) Guidance by distribution / posting

• Notice signs, posters and leaflets will be posted at toll booths and rest facilities nearby.
• A banner will be posted on the overpass on the Expressway.
