NEXCO EAST Keihin Management Office (Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture) will be closing the ramp at the entrance to Kawakami Interchange (hereinafter referred to as "IC") on the E83 Yokohama-Shindo Road Out-bound lane to carry out construction work to install a soundproof wall.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and we ask for your understanding and cooperation in allowing yourself plenty of time when heading out.
1. 1. Closing location and date and time

Yokohama-Shindo Road Out-bound Line Kawakami IC (towards Odawara) Entrance Ramp - Attached to each line E83 The indications such as indicate the route number (numbering) of Expressway.

2. Detour
Please refer to the diagram below for detours.
As indicated by the blue arrows, if you take a detour between Yokohama-Shindo Road Kawakami IC and Totsuka IC via Higashi-Totsuka West Line, Prefectural Route 218, Circular Route 2, and National Route 1, the estimated travel time will be approximately 11 minutes (usually approximately 2 minutes).
Detours will increase the time required, so please take time to go out.
3. Construction overview
Construction work will be carried out to install soundproofing walls at the entrance to Kawakami IC on the Yokohama-Shindo Road Out-bound lane.
The section where this work will be carried out is one lane, and since it cannot be carried out under normal lane restrictions, it is necessary to close the entrance to Out-bound lane to carry out the work. Therefore, in order to minimize inconvenience to customers, we will close the ramps on weekdays and carry out the work in a concentrated and efficient manner. This work is necessary to ensure that customers can use Expressway safely and comfortably, so we ask for your understanding and cooperation.
