NEXCO EAST The Chiba Management Office (Chiba City, Chiba Prefecture) will be closed at night to carry out pavement repair work at the ramp of the E51 Higashi-Kanto Expressway (hereinafter referred to as "Higashi-Kanto Expressway") Out-bound Line Sakai Parking Area (hereinafter referred to as "PA"). Please note that you will not be able to use the facilities and gas stations in the PA during the closure.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but we ask for your understanding and cooperation so that you have plenty of time when you go out.

2. Construction overview

Since the pavement has been damaged at the ramp of the Higashi-Kanto Expressway Out-bound Line Sakai PA, pavement repair work will be carried out. The section where this work is to be carried out is one lane, and since it is not possible to carry out construction under normal lane regulations, it is necessary to close the ramp and carry out the work.
Therefore, in order to minimize inconvenience to our customers, we will close the ramps on weekday evenings when traffic is low, and carry out construction intensively and efficiently. This is necessary for the safe and comfortable use of Expressway, so we ask for your understanding and cooperation.

3. How to obtain traffic information

  • Notice signs, posters and leaflets will be posted at toll booths and rest facilities nearby.
  • A banner will be posted on the overpass on the Expressway.
