East Nippon Expressway Co., Ltd.
Nagano Construction Office
NEXCO EAST At the Nagano Construction Office (Nagano City, Nagano Prefecture), E19 Nagano Expressway (hereinafter referred to as "Nagano Road") Maki (Omi) Interchange (hereinafter referred to as "IC") On the Out-bound line between Koshoku and Sarahani IC, we will implement day and night continuous lane restrictions due to the renewal work of the aging Ipponmatsu Tunnel and the Nakasone River Bridge. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but we ask that you comply with the speed limit within the restricted area and cooperate in driving safely.
In addition, although we do not anticipate traffic congestion due to construction regulations, please check the traffic information on websites such as "Expressway Renewal Project Site" and "DraTra" when you go out.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and ask for your understanding and cooperation in the construction.
Regarding the lane restrictions associated with the renewal work of the Nakasone River Bridge, there is no change from the contents announced on July 19, Reiwa 4 [see Appendix [PDF: 1.8MB]].

Regulation extension: Approximately 1.2km
Five. Construction outline
- Tunnel reinforcement work
At the Ipponmatsu Tunnel, which is located between the Nagano Out-bound Omi IC and the Koshoku IC, we will carry out tunnel reinforcement work against uplift and damage to the road surface due to the expansion of the tunnel ground. - Invert is to connect the bottom of the tunnel to the reverse arch with concrete, increase the yield strength and prevent subsidence and deformation.
- Bridge floor slab replacement work
The Nakasonegawa Bridge, located on the Nagano Road Out-bound Line Omi IC ⇒ Sarah IC, is made of concrete due to minute cracks caused by an increase in wheel load due to the increase in vehicle size and salt contained in the antifreeze agent sprayed during the winter. Since the deck has deteriorated and the reinforcing bars have rusted, we will replace it with a more durable prestressed concrete deck.
[Main construction contents]
For tunnels where excessive force is applied from the ground, concrete (invert) is installed to improve the stability in order to make the ring-shaped stronger structure. Specifically, after excavating the road surface, we will install an invert to reinforce the bottom of the tunnel, and then carry out pavement work to return it to a road that can be driven. From August to September of Reiwa 4th, as a preliminary step to the installation of the invert, the passages in the tunnel (observer passages, inspection paths) were removed and the concrete (lining cradle) supporting the tunnel wall surface (lining) was installed. I will do it.
[Main contents of construction]
By removing the deteriorated existing concrete deck of Nakasonegawa Bridge and installing a new prestressed concrete deck, we will improve the running performance and safety.
6. Request when using
- Due to the construction, the number of lanes will be reduced from the current two lanes on each side to one lane because the day and night continuous lanes will be regulated for about 3.4 km and about 1.2 km on the Out-bound line, respectively. Since the lane width is narrow in the day and night continuous lane regulation section, please observe the regulated speed when driving, secure the distance between vehicles, and be careful about rear-end collisions. Also, please be careful when driving as the lane position will change depending on the progress of construction.
- Two consecutive day and night lane restrictions will be enforced at intervals of approximately 4km. Please be careful when driving as the lane regulation section is continuous.
- Construction vehicles may come and go around the construction site, so please be careful when driving ahead.
- Due to traffic concentration during the construction period, the traffic flow may be impaired. Before going out, please check the latest lane regulations and traffic information on the website described in "7. How to obtain traffic information". In addition, please leave plenty of time when using it.
- During the construction period, we will use LED information boards and road signs to provide construction regulation information and call attention to driving safely. Please check this information before driving and drive safely.
