Hokkaido Regional Head Office
NEXCO EAST Hokkaido Regional Head Office (Atsubetsu Ward, Sapporo) to secure the traffic between Hokkaido and Hokkaido between the Domou Doto Expressway Shimukappu Interchange (IC) and Memuro IC damaged by Typhoon No. 10. The emergency restoration work was carried out continuously day and night, and the enlightenment work was completed at 8:00 am on Thursday, September 1st, and the road closure was released.
However, in order to ensure the safety of the Expressway in this section by removing the soil and sand that remains on the shoulders (there is a risk of runoff due to rainfall, etc.), we will temporarily close the road at night.
Doto Expressway is an alternative route to National Routes 38 and 274, which have been restored due to the disaster, so there is no detour in the vicinity, and we apologize for the inconvenience to our customers. Thank you for your cooperation.

- We will continue to provide free measures between the Memuro IC and Otofuke Obihiro IC (both directions) even while the road is closed.
- In order to make sure that we will be notified of this emergency traffic closure, we will lift the traffic restrictions for all passengers heading from Chitose to Obihiro to enter the Yuni Parking Area (PA) from about 30 minutes before the start of the traffic restrictions. It will take about 30 minutes before, so please follow the instructions of the staff.
2 Contents of emergency work
We will ensure the safety of the Expressway areas affected by Typhoon No. 10, such as measures to prevent the outflow of sediment and securing the left shoulder.
In the future, emergency work may be required for safety measures, but we will inform you separately in that case, so please understand and cooperate with us.
