NEXCO東日本／NEXCO中日本／NEXCO西日本／JB本四高速／（公財）日本道路交通情報センターは、お盆期間〔令和6年8月8日（木）～令和6年8月18日（日）の11日間〕の高速道路での交通集中による渋滞予測（10km以上の交通集中渋滞）を発表します。
渋滞緩和のため、ご利用の日や時間帯を変更いただくなど、分散利用にご協力をお願いします。

Please note that traffic congestion predictions are based on past traffic congestion records and recent traffic conditions, but may differ from actual traffic conditions due to traffic disturbances such as accidents, weather conditions, etc. Check the latest road traffic information before you depart and during your trip. Comparison with last year (reference)
Last year (2023), people refrained from traveling during the Obon period due to bad weather, so the number of traffic jams this year is expected to increase compared to last year. Note that last year's figures include traffic jams caused by accidents, etc.
- The number of traffic jams over 10km includes the number of traffic jams over 30km.
- The forecast for 2024 was compiled for the 11 days from Thursday, August 8, 2024 to Sunday, August 18, 2024.
- The results for 2023 were calculated over the 11 days from Thursday, August 10, 2023 to Sunday, August 20, 2023.
2. Key points for alleviating traffic congestion
- Be careful of slowing down in areas where warnings are issued, such as when In-bound!
- While driving, please avoid stepping on the brakes unnecessarily and maintain a sufficient following distance!
- Please refrain from changing lanes recklessly during traffic congestion, as this may lead to further worsening of traffic congestion!
3． Please drive safely
We ask for your cooperation in "fastening your seatbelt at all seats" and "frequently taking early breaks." In addition, we have issued warnings on Expressway to avoid rear-end collisions at the end of traffic jams, so please drive with caution when driving.
4. Holiday discounts will not be applied during the Obon period.
To avoid worsening traffic congestion, holiday discounts will not be applied during this period. Also, to spread out and level out tourism demand, please consider using your sightseeing pass on weekdays. For details, please refer to the following URL.
