We would like to express our deepest condolences to those who lost their lives in the Noto Peninsula Earthquake of 2020, and extend our deepest sympathies to everyone affected by the disaster.

NEXCO EAST (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) has compiled the traffic situation during the year-end and New Year period [Thursday, December 28, 2020 - Thursday, January 4, 2020: 8 days]. It will be announced.

  • The average daily traffic volume was 103% compared to the same period last year.
  • The number of traffic jams over 10 km was 30 times, which was 79% compared to the same period last year.
  • The number of traffic jams over 30 km was 2, which was 200% compared to the same period last year.
  • The longest traffic jam was 43.2km, which occurred around 5:20pm on Tuesday, January 2nd, starting near the Kawagoe IC on the E17 Kanetsu Kan-Etsu Expressway (In-bound line).
