East Nippon Expressway Co., Ltd., Ltd., Central Nippon Expressway Co., Ltd., West Nippon Expressway Co., Ltd., Honshu-Shikoku Expressway Co., Ltd. and Miyagi Prefectural Road Corporation receive requests from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, and cover the whole country during busy seasons. We do not apply holiday discounts, and we will inform you that the following will be handled during Golden Week, Obon and New Year's holidays in 2022.
Regarding holiday discounts, in the "Interim Report (August 4, 2021)" of the Road Subcommittee of the Social Infrastructure Development Council, the situation where heavy traffic congestion occurs mainly during the busy season and tourism demand. "It is necessary to consider not applying holiday discounts in order to avoid intensifying traffic congestion during busy seasons and other times when traffic is expected to be concentrated, etc." Based on this point and the request from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism based on this point and the interim report, it was decided that the holiday discount will not be applied during Golden Week, Obon and the year-end and New Year holidays after 2022.
We would like to ask our customers for their cooperation in measures against traffic congestion on Expressway.

Exemption from holiday discount

Even if you use it on weekends and holidays that are eligible for the holiday discount, the holiday discount will not be applied during Golden Week, Obon and the year-end and New Year holidays.

• There is no change in the application of other discounts due to the absence of holiday discounts.
• We will notify you if there are any changes in the future.
• We will inform you separately on the days when the holiday discount will not be applied after 2023.
