NEXCO EAST (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) has summarized traffic congestion prediction and countermeasures on the Expressway during the Obon period [August 8 (Thu) 2019 18 (Sun): 11 days] It will be announced.
Please cooperate with us in creating a comfortable travel plan that avoids peak traffic congestion, such as adjusting departure times based on traffic congestion prediction. Please note that the actual traffic conditions may differ from the forecast due to accidents and weather conditions, so please check the latest traffic information before departure.
1 Congestion prediction and request for distributed use
Congestion time and peak days
- Out-bound line: Occurs mainly in the morning, and is expected to peak on Saturday, August 10th and Sunday, August 11th.
- In-bound line: It occurs mainly in the evening, and is expected to peak on Wednesday, August 14th and Thursday, August 15th.
⇒Please consider using it on days and times when there is relatively little traffic.

4 ETC holiday discount application date
