Conducted demonstration training to become a disaster prevention base for the Joban Expressway Moriya Service Area

NEXCO EAST (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) will conduct a demonstration drill on "Moriya service area disaster prevention base" that has been studied with government agencies and companies in anticipation of the earthquake directly under the Tokyo metropolitan area.

This training assumes the use of the Expressway service area (SA) so that support organizations and companies can quickly and efficiently advance to the disaster area in the event of an earthquake directly below the capital, and its functions and procedures. It is proof training to confirm and adjust.

It is expected that four helicopters, 50 vehicles, and 200 people will participate in the training from 10 support organizations and companies, which is the largest in terms of personnel and equipment for disaster prevention training utilizing SA on the Expressway Training on a scale.

3 Training content

In this training, assuming that there was an M7.3 earthquake in the northern part of Tokyo Bay, NEXCO EAST will set up an operation headquarters at Moriya SA (In-bound line), and support organizations such as the Ground Self-Defense Force and cooperation between companies. We will carry out training, emergency transportation using a helicopter, disaster situation grasp training, cooking training, etc.
In addition, elementary school students in the neighborhood are scheduled to participate in the training as well as visiting social studies.
