[CA] Malfunction of emergency equipment at Tokyo Wan Aqua-Line Expressway Aqua Tunnel

NEXCO EAST Kanto Regional Head Office (Omiya Ward, Saitama City) at 14:01 pm on August 29, 2017 CA We apologize for the inconvenience caused to many customers by implementing measures to prevent entry into the tunnel due to malfunction of emergency equipment at the Tokyo Wan Aqua-Line Expressway Aqua Tunnel.

1. Event

In this event, a malfunction of emergency equipment occurred in the aqua tunnel between Tokyo Wan Aqua-Line Expressway Kisarazu Kaneda IC and Kawasaki Ukishima JCT, and the tunnel entry prohibition measures were taken on the In-bound line from 14:01 to 14:05 4 minutes per minute, 4 minutes from 14:01 to 14:05 pm on the Out-bound line.

As a result of checking the site, it was determined that there was no fire and that it was a malfunction.

This has caused many customers an inconvenience.

2. Future action

We are currently investigating the cause of the malfunction of the emergency equipment that caused the malfunction, and will take appropriate measures as soon as the cause is identified.
