East Nippon Expressway Co., Ltd., Capital Expressway Co., Ltd., Central Japan Expressway Co., Ltd., West Japan Expressway Co., Ltd., Hanshin Expressway Co., Ltd. and Honshu Shikoku Contact Expressway ETC personal cards jointly issued by a corporation (hereinafter referred to as "cards") have already been used by other customers for some customers who issued cards after April 4, 2007. It turned out that I was issuing a card with the same number as the card I was doing. We would like to inform all concerned parties and deeply apologize for the inconvenience caused to our customers.

1 Overview

Some of the 160 cards (80 cards) newly issued after April 4, 2007 had a card with the same card number already used by another customer. It turned out.

2 Cause

When I issued the card, I deleted the record of the card number that I had given so far, so I accidentally issued the card with the number that was given previously.

3 Response to customers

Currently, the ETC Personal Card Office will contact the relevant customers (80 people who have used the card with the same number in the past and 80 people who issued the card by mistake this time). In addition, we ask that you refrain from using the card, and inform you that we will ship the card with a new number promptly.

4 To prevent recurrence

We will take this situation very seriously, improve the system so that the card numbers do not overlap, and try to prevent recurrence.
