NEXCO EAST Niigata Regional Head Office (Chuo-ku, Niigata City) is cooperating with Niigata City's initiative to introduce designated garbage bags (20L) made from rice grown in Niigata City as part of the city's efforts to become a "zero carbon city" (a city with virtually zero carbon dioxide emissions by 2050).
NEXCO EAST Group, as a promoter of efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions through its Expressway operations, supports this initiative and has decided to cooperate by including corporate names on the biomass plastic garbage bags.

NEXCO EAST Group has adopted the CSR keyword "Connecting the region, connecting with the region, connecting to the future" and is working on SDGs initiatives aimed at realizing a sustainable society. In addition, we believe that this initiative will contribute to SDGs goals 11, 13, 15, and 17.
Going forward, the Group will continue to contribute to the achievement of the SDGs through its Expressway business.
