- Taking time off to contribute to society: Donating therapeutic food to children in developing countries
July 11 2024
East Nippon Expressway Co., Ltd.
On July 8 2024, NEXCO EAST Japan donated therapeutic foods to vulnerable children around the world through the UNICEF Support Gift program run by the Japan Committee for UNICEF (hereinafter referred to as "UNICEF").
This activity was carried out as a continuation from last year as part of our efforts to fulfill our corporate social responsibility, to support UNICEF's mission of promoting the rights and healthy development of all children, and to contribute to Goal 3 of the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals), which is to "Ensure good health and promote well-being for all."
We donated therapeutic nutritional foods according to the number of days off taken by employees (number of paid leave days taken from April 2023 to March 2024). The number of days off taken by employees has increased since last year, and we were able to donate 453 sets (worth 3,171,000 yen) to UNICEF.
As a group, we will continue to work together to contribute to the achievement of the SDGs toward 2030.
