On July 5, 4th year of Reiwa, NEXCO EAST Hokkaido Regional Head Office Kitahiroshima Management Office (Kitahiroshima City) cooperated with the Special Needs School Hokkaido Shirakaba High School for the Elderly (the city) and went Out-bound the Do-O Expressway Wattsu Parking Area (PA). We exhibited and sold craft works made by the students of the school on the line (toward Sapporo).
This initiative has been underway since the first 2019 as part of the "Kofuku Collaboration" that connects Expressway and welfare, and was canceled last year to prevent corona infection, but it was held for the first time in about two years.
On the day of the event, the students of the school will learn customer service etiquette and display and sell their own works for the purpose of interacting with local residents, and will offer a variety of products to customers who visit the parking area. I appealed.
Chihiro Okubo, general affairs manager of the office, said, "During the hot and humid weather after the rain on the day, the students enthusiastically distributed voices and leaflets to the customers who came to the parking area, and many customers came to the store. The smiles of both sides left a good impression on me. I would like to continue to make efforts to further expand such efforts for high-fuku cooperation. "
