NEXCO EAST has established the ``Remote Witness Implementation Guidelines'' as a standard for carrying out ``confirmation'', ``inspection and witnessing'' (hereinafter referred to as ``witnessing'') at remote locations for work such as construction and investigation. We would like to inform you that this law has been established and will be applied to civil engineering, facility construction, and survey work.

Normally, witnessing is carried out by both the orderer and the contractor on-site by visual observation, but in remote witnessing, the orderer uses a wearable camera etc. to photograph the situation on-site in real time, and the client Attendance is conducted using video and audio from a remote location.
At NEXCO EAST, we have been conducting a trial of remote witnessing since 2020, and we have confirmed that it has been introduced in many construction projects and that it contributes to improving the efficiency of both the ordering party and the contractor. In order to actively utilize remote witnessing, we have established remote witnessing implementation guidelines that specify the scope of application and the applicability of witnessing for each type of work and item.
