NEXCO EAST (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) will introduce the “Design Basic Contract Method” as a new contract method for bridge seismic retrofit design, aiming for smoother implementation of disaster prevention and mitigation measures on Expressway.
Basic design contract method
In the bridge seismic retrofitting business, prior to construction, it is necessary to intensively implement the same type of bridge seismic retrofitting design (hereinafter referred to as "seismic design") for a certain period of time to secure the design stock.
For this reason, after summarizing multiple bridges, we will apply for a public proposal type proposal system, recruit and evaluate competitors, identify the design implementer, and conclude a "basic contract".
After that, for each seismic design subject to the "Basic Contract", the contractor negotiates the contract and negotiates an "individual contract" by voluntary contract.
By using this method, we aim to ensure a reliable stock of seismic design results, reduce the burden on both parties by ordering contract procedures more efficiently, and take measures to prevent tender failures.
